Guests can experience the best of both worlds at the new Best Western Quarterdecks Harbour Retreat Apartments.
As part of the world's largest hotel chain, guests are guaranteed a quality stay; whilst friendly management and unique features guarantee personalised service.
Resort manager, Craig Gibbs has relished his position at Quarterdecks over the past four years. Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, he says "the excitement of starting a property from the first stage of development" greatly appealed to him, influencing his decision to move to the Hervey Bay resort. This initial excitement, it seems, has paid off. Not only has Lonely Planet twice named Quarterdecks 'the place to stay' but the resort has won three separate awards over the years (including the 2008 New Tourism Business winner, and two separate Master Builders Awards in 2007).
The Best Western Quarterdecks Harbour Retreat is located within the Boat Harbour precinct of Hervey Bay, in close proximity to the marina shops, clubs, cafes and restaurants - as well as the adventure of the Fraser Coast situated but a heartbeat away. Few could deny the magic of Quarterdecks location, and the resort offers a variety of experiences to guests so they can be sure to take full advantage of it; organising visits to the Great Barrier Reef, tours circulating Hervey Bay, Fraser Island and Lady Elliot, whale watching, and more.
Craig urges his guests to add fun and discovery to their days away and let the friendly and knowledgeable staff help them organise activities and adventures of every kind. "Whether they are coming to relax and unwind with their family or escape on a romantic getaway, Quarterdecks offers services and facilities to all."
However, many Quarterdecks guests find they need not leave the retreat; content with the sublime features it itself possesses. For spacious villas and tranquillity sets this 2.2ha resort apart and it is highly valued by those who desire peace set quietly away from the busy tourist strip.
"Light, refreshing and lacking for nothing, the villas at Quarterdecks reflects the easy elegance and refined luxury of the harbour retreat," Craig asserts of the resort. One contented guest described it simply as, 'Nirvana on the coast'.
The 61 villa retreat is of contemporary design with a distinct touch of luxury. Guests may choose from spacious Starboard, Portside or Quarterdeck villas with private courtyards, security garages, full kitchen and laundry facilities.
Each villa exudes quality, from the bath robes and feather filled pillows, to the king size beds, designer kitchens and countless minute details that will have you coming back time after time - high-speed broadband internet access, an accessible pool and barbecue area, a heated spa and sauna, conference room facilities, garage facilities, porter service, security intercoms, and for those cosy nights in, a 500-strong DVD collection.
Perhaps the most appealing feature for guests though, is that a select number of Quarterdecks' villas are pet friendly. Service animals accompanying persons with disabilities are always accepted, and other guests need only give the resort a call to discuss their particular needs. The 'pet friendly retreat policy' is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate so that everyone may experience a most enjoyable stay.
Having thought of everything; utilising a sublime location, providing guests with enviable adventures and in-house luxuries, as well as allowing them to bring along beloved pets; it's clear that Craig and his team have thought supremely carefully about the nature of people and what holidaymakers appreciate most.
This is a team that knows how to impart a first-rate holiday.
